Greg May sent over his notes this morning. They are as follows:
Greg May - Back as Guest Blogger-
Reports are updated through week 14. Congrats on Underwood winning player of the week. Anytime you beat Swanny it is a good win. The guy just has natural ability that many of us are not born with. I truly enjoyed watching him play on Saturday and could not help myself when I gave him a few tips to get him back on track. I sure was surprised to see how bad Underwood beat him last night.
Four scores are being tossed out now and that is how it will be for the rest of the season. We have 4 weeks left in the season.
Burkley won 14.5 points last night. This either ties the CGA record or quite possibly breaks it. I will have to wake up the CGA historian and verify the record.
Dr. Jay is the story of the second half. They are now in 3rd for the overall season and only 18 1/2 points out of the lead (but do have a bye in the final week). They have a huge 2nd half lead.
Some Real Big Matches Next Monday, as the Cronies fine tune their games in anticipation of the CGA MatchPlay Championship.
Greg May (#1) vs Jay Feller (#3) - Feller was player of the week in Week 13 and runner up in Week 14. Greg May is a five and Feller has come all the way down to a 6 handicap. Last year, Feller stymied the Commash in his quest for an Individual Championship with a 44/33 which provided a 8 to 7 victory over the Commash who shot a 34 net 30. The Commash should be ready for this one. Feller getting only 1 shot to the Commash. Vegas is setting a trap here....... As they say on NFL Sundays...."Not so Fast, My Friend" A real Suckers bet.... give me Feller and the shot.
Porta Joe's (#1) vs Bud-E-bel (#2) - It doesn't get much better than this one. 4 weeks left and we set the stage with a good old good one. Ayers is on vacation so the legend Eric Osborn will come out and find himself in a classic battle with Pete Ebel. Be sure to watch ESPN Classics this weekend as they will be showing some of the old matches between these two legendary CGA players. Porta Joe's has not had their bye yet, so it is a must win for them. Ebel gives a shot to Ozzy, and Porterfield and Budzik are straight up. I will take Ebel over Ozzy, Porterfield over Budzik and Porta Joe's to win the team match in a real tight one. Lay off this one or be careful.
Chuckie West (#5) vs. Hookers (#7) - Fry will sub for Underwood. Fry gives three to Brinkman and Shaffer and Burkley are straight up. Take Brinkman over Fry, take Shaffer over Burkley and I like Chuckie West in the team game.
Upset of the Week - Smokin Joe getting 9 against Hosket -
