The CGA played the back nine for the first time this season and things seemed to get back to normal. Smokin lost his 8 iron, the house in the Slice zone off of 11 tee was hit four times, no one tipped the guy who cleans your clubs, Webb snuck a twelve pack onto the course in his bag, the pot game was light money, the waiter at B-Dubs got a 11% tip. Yea, things were back to normal CGA life and it felt good.
Rob Burkley easily won B-Dubs Player of the Week by posting a 42/38 as he dismantled Porterfield 46/43. Doug May 44/39 rebounded from his tough opening week to defeat Bret Hosket 47/41. Greg May took down his "vegas partner for life" Ryan Webb in a close match, but one that ended up with Greg winning 11 to 4.Burkley holds a slight lead early over Greg May and myself in the individual race.
Chuckie used another sub to extend their early lead to 12.50 points. Just a friendly reminder, there is no 1st half/2nd half this season. We voted to pay more for the season. You can see the payouts on the web-site. Chuckie has used the subs so well this year, that next week, Shaffe and I are going to both sit out. In fact, we are discussing the possibility of just letting subs play for us all year. For the week, there were big wins by Chuckie, BuBu, and May K'Ebel.
I will be out next week and Greg May is on a bye. Doug May has volunteered to step in as Asst. Asst. Commish. Please still turn in subs to Greg as he will get the scorecards to Doug to take to the course. Brinkman and Webb: please behave while Daddy is out of town.
