What Brink Thinks - Week 7

TOO CLOSE TO CALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Good job dodging the weather AGAIN in my absence.

I'm giving Player of the Week honors to four cronies this week, all for similar reasons.

  • K.C. Budzik for his 11-4 victory over Doug May and maintaining his 1st place position in the individual and team standings.
  • Brett Benack for his 12.5 - 2.5 victory over Tommy Freiburger, which moved Benack into 7th place in individual standings, which I'm thinking is an all-time high for Benack.
  • George Tzagournis, last week's player of the week, responded with another solid victory 11 - 4 over Jay Feller, moving him into 3rd place in the individual.
  • Greg May for his 12.5 - 2.5 victory which cooled down a recently hot Paul Whybrew. May has been an afterthought for much of the season, but now sits 5th in the standings and has already been on bye.
Gretel's French Toast won the team low net $50 pot with a 67.  I will bring their money on Monday, as well as $50 for Stroke Me's team low net in Week 7 as Commissioner was on bye.

A couple key matchups on Monday include 1st place GF Humble Pie vs. 2nd place CB3PO, with Joe Barrett facing substitue brother Mike Barrett. Also keeping it in the family, the May brothers face off with the younger Doug getting 3 strokes from the elder Greg.
