What Brink Thinks Week 14

What Ugh?
George Tzagournis is your Week 14 Player of the Week, shooting a league low net 31 and beating Pete Ebel 11-4.  Tzagournis also led 2 Drink Minimum 2 to the $50 low net prize with a combined 67.

Commissioner was on site for his bye week, ensuring cronies got the weather they deserved to get the round in.  There was some grumbling about lift, clean and place being needed, but after playing a few holes on the front nine, it was confirmed that playing the ball down as normal was the correct call.  If ever there is a lift, clean and place ruling, everyone in league will know about it in advance of the round.

Bret Benack's 8-7 victory over Ryan Webb garnered some attention as well.  Benack is now firmly in 2nd place in the individual standings and his feel good story continues.  A tip of the cap to Webb, who shot a league low gross of 39 to salvage low net in his match and lose by a point.  Benack trails K.C. Budzik by only 5 points with 4 weeks to go in the season.

Coincidentally, 2 Drink Minimum 2 faces D-Rags next week, with Steve Porterfield taking on Benack and Tzagournis most likely playing someone not named Brad Underwood.

In the team race, the key matchup is CB3PO facing off vs. 2nd place GF Humble Pie.  Joe Barrett's 13-2 win over Doug May helped GF take a 7.5 point lead over 3rd place 2 Drink Minimum 2. The winner of this match will be leading the standings going into the final 3 weeks of the season.
