Monday Nights – AMF Sawmill Lanes - starting at 6:30 sharp (warm ups starting at 6:10) for three games – 8 weeks total including one “bye” - week over 7 weeks - 8th week is must attend for CBA Championship.  So you are committed for 7 weeks of bowling.  Handicaps apply (details to follow).  Should be done by 8 PM.  For weeks 2-7 – 1 team will be considered the “Strike” team – where they are not bowling directly against another team – but still eligible for season team and weekly prizes.

October 10th through December 5th. (October 31st is skipped for Halloween.)  Dec. 5th is CBA Championship – all six teams must attend.
$270 Each.  Comprised of $150 Entry Fee (Contest Money) + $15 bowling fee to be paid each week directly to AMF (7 weeks * $15 = $105 total for season) + $15 “Pre CBA Party” = $300 total commitment.

Acronyms
CB = Crony Bowler
CBT = Crony Bowling Team
NS = Natural Individual Score
HS = Handicapped Individual Score
HTS= Handicapped Team Score – this is the total of all 3 games for both players including handicaps.
CBS = Crony Bowling Substitute
Handicap = Add Pins (as opposed to golf) to your Natural Score (what you roll in a game)-All calculations are rounded DOWN!

PRE-CBA PARTY – We will have a “Pre” CBA bowling party ON THURSDAY, OCT 6th at 6:30 where each CB and CBS will bowl three games to establish handicap and draw for teams.  CBS’s are highly encouraged to attend as we will have extra lanes.  $15 each bowler. No prize money as this is only for official CBA handicap establishment.  Each CB will need to bring $150 “Deposit” for Contest money.  We will also elect Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.

Basic Rules
1 – League will consist of six (6) CBT’s consisting of two CB’s (12 Cronies total).  Each CB will be handicapped each week (details to follow).  It would be welcomed to have 2-5 CBS substitution list to be available.
2 – League will take place over 8 weeks each Monday night (Week 1 - October 10th) beginning at 6:30 sharp (6:10-6:30 open practice) and will consist of 3 games each week for each CBT match.
3 - Each week one CBT will have a bye except for the 8th week (December 5th) for the Ending CBA Season tournament – CBA Championship - where all six teams must participate.
4 – Each week 3 games (series) of CBT vs. CBT will take place - and will vary over the first 7 weeks – as this way each team plays each team once and once only over the course of the season.
5 – Weeks 2-7 there will be one team designated as the “Strike” team.  This team will not bowl directly against another team to earn points – but is still eligible for season team points and weekly prizes.  Since there will be two bowlers occupying two lanes – we are encouraging non-league members and substitutes to be the “Spare” team.  Spare team can come bowl for fun with the “Strike” team but is not eligible for prizes.
6 - The format each week allows for each match to take place in two lanes – alternating lanes each roll with computer scoring over the course of the series.
7 – Contests are divided into four areas over the duration of the season – all of which are handicapped –

Prize information follows:

            a – Season CBT Match Champions.  Each week your team will Match against another team for 3 games and have the chance to win 4 points.  Each CB computes their HS and adds with partner to compute HTS for each game and series (total of all 3 games).  Game 1 = 1 point.  Game 2 = 1 Point.  Game 3 =1 Point.  Highest HTS (series) between two teams = 1 Point.  Team with the highest HTS for the week among all 5 teams (6 teams in week 1) = 3 Points.  This includes the Strike team!  The team with the most Points at the end of the season WINS!  1st Place CBT = $400 ($200 each CB).  2nd Place CBT = $50 ($25 each CB).  Tie Brakes will be determined by best total team season HTS (total handicapped pins for team for entire season).
Individual CB with total HS for entire season WINS $200 for 1st Place, 2nd Place receives $50.  This is over the entire season (7 Weeks).

            b – Weekly Team Net Score (HTS).  Each week the CBT with the HTS for all 3 games – WINS $50 ($25 each CB).  Includes Strike Team.

            c – Weekly Individual Net Score (HS).  Each week the Individual with the HS for all 3 games – WINS $30.  Includes Strike team.

            d – CBA Championship - End of Season Tournament (Week 8 – all teams play).  Last night – 3 games for each team but this is all 6 team event – 3 games.  Team with HTS for all 3 games WINS $300, 2nd Place $50.  Individual HS WINS $150, 2nd Place $50.  Season ending Handicaps apply.  Monday, December 5th.

CBA CHAMPIONSHIP - ALL TEAMS

Handicaps (Will use AMF software for this)
Handicaps are added to each individual game each week to compute HS and added with teammate to determine HTS.  Handicaps will be established each week on a “rolling” basis.
Handicap calculations will always be based upon your NS – or natural score – what you score without any additional “pins”.  All calculations round down in the end.
We will use AMF Sawmill “Basis” of 210 with 80% factor (Substitutes will use 70% to prevent substituting bowling “aces”).

Example:
Pre-Season
Natural Score:  Game 1 = 115, Game 2 = 120, Game 3 = 125.  Total = 360.  Average = 120.
Basis – Average = 210 – 120 = 90.
Factor 80% of 90 = 72 Handicap.  The next week you will add 72 to each of your 3 games to determine HS and HTS.
Week 1
Game 1 = 128 natural score (add 72) = 200 HS
Game 2 = 123 nature score (add 72) = 195 HS
Game 3 = 133 natural score (add 72) = 205 HS
Therefore for Week 1 your total HS = 600 (200+195+205).  This is added to your teammate to determine HTS for each game point and series point determination.
Week 2 is calculated as follows:
Total Natural Score = 744 (115+120+125+128+123+133)
Natural Average = 86 (744 divided by 6 games)
80% of 86 = 68.8 = (round down)
68 New Handicap for Week 2
This “rolling” handicap calculation continues with each weekly series and your natural scores.

CBS – Crony Bowling Substitutes
CBS will use same handicapping system as a CB – only with a 70% factor instead of 80%
CBS will count for Season Team Points for the week they substitute.
CBS are not eligible for any CBA SEASON prize money, ONLY WEEKLY prize Money.  If CBS (and CB partner) wins weekly individual or team – it is between the CB and the CBS if they are to split prize money.
CBS will be responsible for paying weekly $15 bowling fee directly to AMF Sawmill the night they are substituting.  CBS is responsible for collecting from CB if necessary.

At the end of the season each CB will receive a FREE Bowling Ball!
Each CB will receive a “league card” upon entry fee.  This gets you personally 2 free games each week and $2.65 per game for family and friends.  You also get 20% off food and beverage except alcohol.
