The format for the season has been formalized as follows:
The 2017 TEA
The 2017 edition of The TEA Tournament will be played on May 13th at Urbana Country Club. The first tee time is 10 AM.
Weeks 8 and 16
The 1st place team after week 7 (and week 15 in the second half) will select the team they want to play in Week 8 (and 16). The team selected will set the individual matches. The next highest ranked team in the standings will then pick the team they want to play. Again, the selected team will set the individual matches. This process will continue until all four team matches are set.
The CGA Cup
New this season is The CGA Cup. Each week players will be ranked against the field by net score. Points will be awarded as follows:
1st - 15 pts + 15 bonus pts = 30 pts
2nd - 14 pts + 10 bonus pts = 24 pts
3rd - 13 pts + 5 bonus pts = 18 pts
4th - 12 pts
5th - 11 pts
6th - 10 pts
7th - 9 pts
8th - 8 pts
9th - 7 pts
10th - 6 pts
11th - 5 pts
12th - 4 pts
13th - 3 pts
14th - 2 pts
15th - 1 pts
16th - 0 pts
Points will be accumulated throughout the entire season. Each player's 2 lowest scores will be kicked out. At the conclusion of the season the player with the most points over 14 events will be named winner of The CGA Cup and win $300. Second place pays $150 and 3rd place gets $75. The winner's name will added to The Wall of Fame.
